ADLER FU4 3-Way Ball Valve, Wafer Type 120°

The ADLER FU4 is a full-bore, three-way ball valve, wafer type, designed for compact installation between flanges in manifolds, skids, and flow selection/distribution lines. The valve operates with a 120° rotation, providing an alternative to standard 90° 3-way valves. Available in DN15–DN200, pressure classes PN10–PN40 / ANSI 150, and on request ANSI 300/600.

Construction and Materials

  • Body/Inserts: ASTM A105, ASTM A479 304/304L, ASTM A479 316/316L, or ASTM A351 CF8M
  • Ball: Stainless steel 304/316 or cast CF8/CF8M
  • Stem: ASTM A479 304/304L or 316/316L, anti-blowout design
  • Seats: PTFE, optional RPTFE
  • Stem Sealing: PTFE, chevron rings PTFE/graphite, optional O-ring FKM

Standards and Certifications

Design in accordance with ASME B16.34, EN 12516-2, full bore per ISO 14313. Available with PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe ISO 10497 / API 607, ISO 15848 Class A, antistatic device, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves.

Selection and Operation

The 120° operation angle distinguishes the FU4 from typical 90° 3-way valves. Confirm flow plan before ordering to ensure ball positions, lever indication, and limit switches match the required flow path.

Automation

Top flange ISO 5211 allows pneumatic or electric actuator mounting. For DN150–DN200, gear operators are recommended. Selection torque should consider differential pressure, seat material, media, and operation frequency.

Applications

Suitable for process water, air, neutral liquids, utility networks, distribution skids, and lines requiring triple hydraulic configuration in limited installation length. Oxygen service available with degreasing per ISO 23208.
