Genebre 2110 wafer ball valve PN16

The Genebre 2110 is a full-bore wafer-type ball valve for installation between PN16 flanges. The body is stainless steel CF8M / AISI 316, with PTFE seats and seals. The stated operating temperature range is -20°C to +180°C, subject to pressure, medium and compatibility checks.

Suitable media and operating limits

Media selection shall be based on chemical compatibility with CF8M stainless steel and PTFE. PTFE seats are suitable for many clean liquids and gases, but are not intended for abrasive slurries or fluids with high suspended solids. For steam, vacuum, aggressive chemicals or cycling service, the pressure-temperature rating and manufacturer data sheet should be checked before specification.

Valve selection logic

The wafer construction reduces face-to-face length compared with a flanged split-body ball valve. Full-bore geometry reduces pressure drop where flow capacity is relevant. FAQ

Is the Genebre 2110 suitable for throttling?

It is primarily an on/off isolation valve. Continuous throttling can damage soft seats and increase leakage risk.

Can it be used in chemical service?

Yes, only where the medium is compatible with CF8M stainless steel and PTFE at the actual temperature and pressure.

What maintenance points are relevant?

Check seat leakage, stem sealing, handle position, flange gasket condition and bolt torque during scheduled maintenance or after thermal cycling.
