Genebre 2026 butt-weld ball valve

The Genebre 2026 is a three-piece, full-bore ball valve with butt-weld ends to ANSI B16.25. The valve body is stainless steel CF8M / AISI 316, with PTFE + 15% glass-filled seats and a Viton stem O-ring. Nominal rating is PN63 / 1000 WOG, with an operating temperature range of -25°C to +180°C, subject to pressure, medium and seal compatibility.

Construction and connection

  • Three-piece body for in-line maintenance when the pipework layout allows body removal.
  • Full bore design for reduced pressure drop compared with reduced-port valves.
  • Butt-weld ends for permanent welded process lines and reduced threaded leakage paths.
  • Sizes available from 1/4" to 4".
  • Lockable lever handle for local isolation control.

Automation and control interface

The valve includes an ISO 5211 mounting pad for direct installation of pneumatic or electric actuators. Selection of actuator torque should consider differential pressure, cycling frequency, media condition, safety factor and required fail position.

Variant selection

  • Butt-weld version: preferred for permanent welded lines and reduced external leakage points.
  • Threaded-end valves: easier to install and remove, but introduce threaded sealing interfaces.
  • Actuated configuration: used where remote isolation, interlocking or PLC control is required.
  • Manual configuration: suitable for local isolation and maintenance block duties.

Engineering selection notes

Confirm pipe schedule, weld procedure, heat input, flushing requirements and post-weld access before installation. The three-piece design can allow removal of the central body section without cutting the valve from the line, provided sufficient clearance and correct pipe alignment have been included in the layout.

FAQ

Is it suitable for throttling?
It is primarily an on/off isolation valve. Continuous throttling can damage seats and reduce sealing life.

Can it be automated?
Yes. The ISO 5211 pad supports pneumatic or electric actuators after torque and duty-cycle checks.

Size, pressure class, temperature, pipe schedule, medium compatibility, actuator requirement and welding specification.
