Genebre 2025N 3-piece NPT ball valve
The Genebre 2025N is a three-piece, full-bore ball valve with NPT threaded ends. The body is CF8M / 316 stainless steel, with PTFE + 15% glass fibre seats, Viton stem O-ring, PN63 pressure rating and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +180°C, subject to media compatibility.
Construction and operating data
- Valve type: 3-piece floating ball valve
- Bore: full bore for reduced pressure drop
- Connections: female NPT threaded ends
- Body material: CF8M / 316 stainless steel
- Seats: PTFE reinforced with 15% glass fibre
- Stem sealing: Viton O-ring
- Pressure rating: PN63
- Temperature range: -25°C to +180°C
- Sizes: 1/4" to 4" NPT
Standards, interfaces and documentation
- ISO 5211 mounting pad for direct actuator installation
- NPT thread compatibility should be checked against the piping specification, typically ASME B1.20.1
- Material certificates, pressure test records and PED applicability should be confirmed at procurement stage
- Thread sealant selection must be compatible with the process fluid, temperature and stainless steel body material
Actuation and control options
The ISO 5211 top flange allows direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators without a separate bracket, where torque and duty cycle are correctly selected. The manual version includes a lockable handle for isolation duties and controlled maintenance access.
Typical industrial applications
- NPT instrument air and utility connections
- Compressed air and inert gas lines
- Water and compatible industrial liquids
- Skid packages and modular process units
- Bypass, drain and vent lines
- Maintenance isolation points requiring valve body access
Suitable media and service limits
Typical services include water, compressed air, nitrogen, inert gases and compatible non-aggressive industrial fluids. Steam, solvents, hydrocarbons, acids or cyclic high-temperature service require verification of CF8M, PTFE/GF and Viton compatibility, including leakage class expectations and frequency of operation.
Variant selection notes
- Use the 2025N when the piping specification requires NPT threads.
- Do not interchange NPT with BSP threads; thread angle and sealing method differ.
- Three-piece construction is preferred where the centre body must be accessible for seat or seal maintenance without complete pipework removal.
- For frequent automation, check actuator torque against differential pressure, media condition and breakaway torque.
FAQ
Can the valve be maintained in line?
The three-piece design allows access to the centre section if the installation has sufficient clearance and the pipework has been arranged correctly.
Is it suitable for throttling?
No. It is primarily an isolation valve. Throttling can damage seats and increase leakage risk.
What must be checked before ordering?
Confirm NPT size, PN63 suitability, temperature, fluid compatibility, actuator interface, sealing materials and required project certificates.
Description
Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
