ICP 140/141/142/143 3-Piece Ball Valve

Full-bore stainless steel 3-piece ball valve for on/off isolation in industrial liquid and gas services. The split body design allows access to the centre section without complete removal of the pipework, reducing intervention time during maintenance.

Typical applications and media

Used for isolation duties in process water, compressed air, low to medium pressure steam where PTFE is acceptable, utility chemicals, CIP/SIP auxiliary circuits and general stainless steel piping systems.

Valve selection should confirm media compatibility with PTFE, concentration, temperature, differential pressure, cycling frequency and the required leakage class. The valve is intended for open/closed service and should not be selected as a primary throttling valve.

Actuation and sealing considerations

The standard configuration is manual lever operated. Pneumatic or electric actuation requires confirmation of stem interface, mounting arrangement, torque margin and accessory selection. Standard sealing is PTFE; suitability must be checked for steam temperature, chemical exposure and cleaning media.

FAQ

Can the valve be used for flow control?
Not as its main function. It is a quarter-turn isolation valve for on/off duty.

Can it be installed in welded pipework?
Yes. Type 142 is supplied with socket weld ends and Type 143 with butt weld ends. Welding procedure, heat input and seal protection should be considered during installation.
