Genebre 2007 high-pressure ball valve
The Genebre 2007 is a one-piece, full-bore, manually operated ball valve for isolation service in high-pressure lines. The body material is carbon steel ASTM A105, with stainless steel 304 ball and stem, PEEK seats, BSP threaded ends, Class 1500 / 255 bar pressure rating, and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +250°C, subject to the pressure-temperature curve.
Sizes and flow configuration
The valve is available from 1/4" to 1". The full-bore design gives a lower pressure drop than reduced-bore ball valves and is normally selected where line losses, flushing capability, or instrument response time are relevant.
Typical applications
- hydraulic power units and hydraulic distribution lines
- lubricating oil and fuel oil auxiliary circuits
- high-pressure compressed air service
- test benches and pressure test manifolds
- machine auxiliary systems
- instrument isolation on high-pressure process connections
Suitable media
- hydraulic oil, mineral oil, and compatible lubricants
- compressed air and inert gases
- water-glycol fluids, subject to material compatibility
- selected industrial liquids where ASTM A105, SS304, and PEEK are compatible
Selection notes
Valve selection should be checked against pressure, temperature, cyclic duty, fluid compatibility, thread standard, and leakage requirements. PEEK seats are suitable for higher temperature and pressure duty than PTFE seats in many services, but chemical compatibility must be confirmed for each medium.
Standards and documentation
- Body: ASTM A105 carbon steel
- Ball and stem: stainless steel 304
- Seats: PEEK
- Connections: BSP threaded ends
- Pressure class: Class 1500 / 255 bar
- Applicable PED/CE documentation should be verified by size, category, and project requirement.
Actuation and operation
The standard configuration is manual lever operation. If remote operation, interlocking, or automated shutdown is required, select a compatible actuated valve arrangement and verify mounting interface, stem torque, actuator safety factor, and fail position.
Full bore versus reduced bore
A full-bore valve is preferred where pressure drop must be limited or where the line may require pigging, flushing, or fast pressure equalisation. A reduced-bore valve may be acceptable for simple isolation where compact size and cost are more important than flow resistance.
FAQ
Can it be used on steam? Steam service requires confirmation of the pressure-temperature rating and seat compatibility. Do not select only from the nominal pressure class.
Is it suitable for chemicals? Only if the chemical is compatible with ASTM A105, SS304, and PEEK at the operating concentration and temperature.
Is it a control valve? No. It is an isolation valve. Throttling service can increase seat wear and leakage risk.

Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
