Genebre 2004 BSP Stainless Steel Ball Valve
The Genebre 2004 is a one-piece, reduced-bore ball valve with female Gas threads to ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1. The body material is CF8M / AISI 316 stainless steel, with PTFE seats, PN63 pressure rating, and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +180°C, subject to pressure-temperature derating and media compatibility.

Operational Considerations
The one-piece body reduces body-joint leakage paths but is not intended for in-line disassembly or seat replacement. For services requiring frequent maintenance, full-bore flow, or access to internal trim, a two-piece or three-piece ball valve may be more appropriate.

- Reduced-bore valves are compact but generate higher velocity and pressure loss than full-bore valves.
- BSP threaded ends suit screwed pipework; flanged or welded valves should be considered for higher-integrity process lines.
- This configuration is manual. For automation, select a valve with ISO 5211 mounting pad and compatible pneumatic or electric actuator.
Sealing and Compatibility
PTFE seats are suitable for many clean liquids and gases but should be checked against temperature, pressure, chemical exposure, solids content and cycling frequency. Abrasive media, slurry service and flashing conditions can reduce seat life and increase leakage risk.

FAQ
Is it suitable for throttling? No. It is primarily an isolation valve; prolonged throttling can damage the seats.
Can it be actuated? Not as a standard manual one-piece valve. Use an actuator-ready valve with ISO 5211 mounting for control or remote isolation.
What should be checked before selection? Thread type, pressure-temperature rating, flow loss from reduced bore, media compatibility with CF8M and PTFE, and maintenance access.
