Aseptic Spherical Ball Valve 4G Ghidini 100168

Two-way ball valve for aseptic process lines, equipped with DIN 11864-3 connections (Series A/B/C), BKS + NKS Form A configuration. Model 100168 differs from 100167 by combining male/female aseptic BKS + NKS connections, not only CNKS/NKS. Applied in sections requiring detachable connections with controlled gasket sealing.

Pipe Series Selection

• Series A: for DIN 11866-A / DIN 11850 Series 2 pipe

• Series C: for DIN 11866-C / ASTM A-270 pipe

Series selection must match the existing piping network. Selection is based not only on DN, but also on pipe OD, BKS/NKS geometry, and gasket configuration.

Sealing and Media Compatibility

Standard PTFE configuration is suitable for process water, food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical fluids compatible with AISI 316L and PTFE. On request: PTFE seats with glass, carbographite, stainless steel (up to +200°C), or UHMW polyethylene (up to +80°C).

Standards and Options

Available on request with ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db antistatic design and M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance for food contact.

Is it used for flow regulation?
Not as a primary function. This is an on/off isolation valve.

When to select 100168 over 100167?
When the line requires BKS + NKS Form A connection, not the CNKS configuration of the previous version.
