Accessories
Pipeline accessories are used for protection, drainage, venting, mixing, steam injection, vibration isolation, compensation of thermal movement, and auxiliary level or flow control in industrial steam, water, air, condensate, HVAC, and process fluid systems. Selection should be based on DN, PN or ANSI Class, operating temperature, fluid type, solids content, differential pressure, body material, sealing materials, and maintenance requirements.
Y-type, basket, duplex, temporary, and cartridge strainers are installed upstream of control valves, steam traps, pumps, nozzles, and instrumentation to limit the ingress of rust, welding debris, and suspended solids into downstream equipment. As an example, Genebre flanged Y strainers in PN16 are available in AISI 316, with DIN PN16 flanges, PTFE gaskets, perforated AISI 316 screens, and a temperature range from -30°C to +240°C.
Centrifugal separators are applied in steam and compressed air lines to remove entrained droplets and liquid phase before pressure reducing valves, heat exchangers, control valves, or instruments. The ADCA S25S type is specified in DN15-DN300, with flanged connections to EN PN16/40 or ASME Class 150/300, maximum operating pressure up to 40 bar, and service temperature up to 300°C.
Expansion joints and anti-vibration connectors are selected according to axial and lateral movement, thermal expansion, anchor loads, pipe guides, and media compatibility. Metallic TORAFLEX S50/S25 units are used to absorb axial thermal movement in rigid piping systems, with flanged or butt-weld ends, sizes DN20-DN600, pressure ratings PN10-PN16, and service in HVAC, steam, gases, lubrication circuits, and compressed air networks.
Steam humidifiers and steam injectors require verification of steam pressure, steam quality, condensate management, injection location, and avoidance of water hammer. ADCA DSH humidifiers are manufactured in stainless steel, with ISO 7 Rp/NPT threaded or flanged connections, including PN16 options.
Float valves and level/flow switches are integrated into tanks, pump stations, and auxiliary circuits for on/off control or operational status indication. For the ESV F/F model, the stated range includes DN40-DN80, inlet pressure up to 12 bar, Kvs 13.6-47 m³/h, and operating temperature up to 190°C.
