JC Valves 7015/7030/7060 RB Trunnion Ball Valve

The 7015 / 7030 / 7060 RB series are trunnion-mounted, 3-piece forged, reduced bore ball valves with ANSI flanged ends for Class 150 / 300 / 600. RB (Reduced Bore) is selected where full bore is not required and higher pressure drop is acceptable compared to full bore valves.

Reduced Bore and Application Selection

Reduced bore geometry provides a smaller internal diameter than the pipeline nominal size, affecting Kv/Cv, flow velocity, noise, and pressure drop. Not recommended for piggable lines, minimal pressure loss, or full line cleaning. Suitable for isolation where hydraulic loss is acceptable per sizing calculations.

Seat Design and Cavity Relief

Standard JC design uses SPE seats with automatic cavity overpressure relief to the pipeline. For DPE applications, external cavity pressure relief is required. PMSS and emergency seat/stem sealant injection are available for temporary leakage mitigation until maintenance.

Standards and Applications

Complies with API 6D, PED, MSS SP-55, NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, NACE MR0103 / ISO 17945, fire-safe API 607 / ISO 10497 / API 6FA, ISO 15848 / TA-Luft, ATEX. Used in oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, power, tank terminals, and specialty industrial fluids.

FAQ

When to select RB vs FB?
When the process allows reduced flow area and pigging or very low pressure drop is not required.

What is needed for specification?
NPS, Class, body material, seat material, SPE/DPE, NACE, fire-safe, fugitive emissions, ATEX, and actuator type.
