AWS RSK 925.1 – Plastic Wafer Check Valve (Clapper Type)

The AWS RSK 925.1 is a wafer-type check valve with clapper, constructed from PVC-U. It is designed for straightforward water applications, including swimming pools and building services. The valve is installed between flanges and operates via differential fluid pressure, without the need for an actuator.

Media Limitations

Suitable for clean liquids compatible with PVC-U and EPDM. Not recommended for fluids containing solid particles. For PED Group 1 fluids, restrictions apply from DN125 upwards, especially for gases, liquefied gases, steam, and liquids with high vapor pressure. Use with unstable gases is not permitted for any DN.

Installation Guidelines

Pipework must be clean and correctly aligned. Manufacturer recommends a straight pipe section of 5×DN upstream and downstream of the valve. Avoid direct installation at pump flanges. For horizontal installation, the ring must face upward; for vertical installation, the flow arrow must point upward.

Declaration of conformity includes PED 2014/68/EU, Module A, standard DIN EN ISO 16137, and CE marking for the 925.1 series.

FAQ

Is it suitable for steam? No. The +50°C temperature limit and plastic construction restrict use to low-temperature liquids.
Is maintenance required? The valve is classified as maintenance-free, but operational and leakage checks should be included in the facility’s inspection schedule.
