Genebre 2430 – Swing Check Valve, Threaded Ends

The Genebre 2430 is a swing-type check valve with threaded connections, designed to prevent reverse flow in small process lines and auxiliary piping. The disc opens via differential pressure and closes automatically when flow decreases or reverses. No actuator is required.

Operating Limits

Maximum working pressure is 16 bar, with a maximum temperature of 180°C. Manufacturer data specifies 16 kg/cm² at 120°C and 10 kg/cm² at 180°C. Valve selection should be based on the actual pressure–temperature combination, not just the PN rating.

Hydraulic Data

Kv values range from 2.2 m³/h at 1/2" to 44.2 m³/h at 2". Use these for pressure drop calculations and to avoid oversizing, especially at low flow rates.

Installation

Install in horizontal lines or vertical lines with upward flow. Piping must be free of debris, weld slag, and solids. Recommended straight lengths: 10×DN upstream and 3×DN downstream from pumps, elbows, reducers, or other valves to minimize turbulence.

Applications

Suitable for water, air, auxiliary process lines, and compatible industrial fluids. Confirm compatibility with CF8M, AISI 316, and PTFE. For chemical, chlorinated, or hot fluids, assess corrosion and pressure derating.

Is it repairable? Generally not; manufacturer recommends replacement over repair.
