Inline and 90° Line Filters Tassalini

Tassalini filters are stainless steel low-pressure filters designed for installation in either straight-line or 90° angular configurations. They are used in stainless steel piping systems where removal and cleaning of the filter element is required without replacing the filter body. Construction materials are AISI 304L or AISI 316L, selected based on media compatibility and corrosion resistance requirements.

Construction

The range includes:

  • Line filter for inline flow applications.
  • 90° filter for flow direction changes at right angles.
  • Filter body with removable screen element.
  • Union nut, connection, gaskets, support discs, and tie rod, depending on configuration.
  • 90° version features a dedicated cap and OR ring.

Filter Element

The standard screen is perforated metal with 1 mm holes. Optional perforations: 0.5 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, or 6 mm. Mesh overlay available from 80 to 500 mesh. Selection of opening size should be based on particle size, flow rate, and acceptable pressure drop.

Operating Conditions

Maximum working pressure: 5 bar. Standard surface finish: 120 grit, with surface roughness Ra 1.01–1.14 μm max (see product datasheet). Alternative finishes available on request.

Installation and Selection

Selection criteria: connection diameter, 304L or 316L material, flow configuration, screen opening, and available removal space. Sizes range from approximately DN25 to DN104, with different lengths and weights for inline and 90° models.

Maintenance

The filter element is removable for cleaning and inspection. Before opening, isolate and depressurize the line. Inspect gasket or OR ring before reassembly.

FAQ

Can it be fitted with an actuator?
No. This is a passive inline filter.

When is the 90° version selected?
When the piping changes direction and filtration is required at the same point.

When is 316L selected?
For media or cleaning processes requiring higher corrosion resistance compared to 304L.

Description

Our filters are manufactured from Aisi 304L and Aisi 316L stainless steel and are available either in-line or 90º.

The filtering parts are easy to remove for cleaning and servicing.

Standard filter cartridges are of sheet metal with 1 mm holes.

On request they are available with 0.5, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 mm holes

and metal screen cover from 80 to 500 mesh.

The standard finish is 120 grit (Ra 1.01-1.14 µm max).

The maximum operating pressure is 5 bars.
