Genebre 2462 Inline Strainer with BSP Threaded Ends

The Genebre 2462 is a compact inline strainer with threaded ends conforming to ISO 228-1 / BSP. Designed for retention of solid particles upstream of regulators, valves, instrumentation, and small process assemblies. Note: “gas thread” refers to BSP thread geometry and does not imply certification for fuel gas service.

Construction

  • Body, cover, ends, screen support, bolts, and rivets: stainless steel 1.4301 / AISI 304
  • Screen: AISI 304
  • O-ring: FPM / Viton
  • Surface treatment: pickling and electropolishing on body and covers
  • TIG welding without filler material

Operating Conditions

Maximum working pressure: 16 bar. Temperature range: -10°C to +150°C. Available sizes: ½", ¾", 1", 1¼", 1½", 2" (all PN16).

Screen and Hydraulic Data

Screen opening: 0.5 mm for ½"–1"; 0.8 mm for 1¼"–2". Technical datasheet includes pressure drop charts for water at 15°C, horizontal flow, for clean screen assessment.

Applications

Suitable for small gas or compatible fluid networks requiring stainless steel inline filtration with limited installation length. Media compatibility must be verified for AISI 304, FPM, temperature, pressure, and cleanliness.

Maintenance

Inspection requires line isolation and depressurization. Check screen, cover seating, and FPM O-ring. Clean screen if differential pressure increases.

FAQ

Can it be fitted with an actuator?
No. This is a passive inline strainer.

When is it selected over a Y-strainer?
When a compact inline assembly, AISI 304 stainless construction, and BSP threaded connection are required.

Is it suitable for steam?
Not documented as a steam strainer. For steam, verify pressure-temperature and sealing separately.
