The Valfonta 252 is a steam injector/reheater designed for direct injection of saturated steam into tanks or liquid baths. Steam enters through the nozzle, generating suction via the Venturi effect, which draws liquid through body openings and mixes it with the steam. This process induces circulation and uniform temperature increase within the vessel.
Used for heating water or process liquids in wash tanks, barrels, drums, process baths, and mixing vessels. Common in breweries, sugar plants, laundries, chemical installations, and piping systems requiring local heating or freeze protection.
Size selection is not based solely on connection diameter. Required data:
For long piping runs, technical documentation recommends pipe diameters larger than the injector’s internal diameter.
No moving parts or actuators. Maintenance focuses on nozzle cleanliness, scale deposits, flange sealing, and proper steam line drainage. Not suitable as an isolation or control valve; no internal leakage class.
