The ADCA SI125 and SI140 are saturated steam injectors designed for direct heating of liquids in tanks, wash baths, and process vessels. Steam enters through the axial connection, passes through the injector body, and mixes with the liquid, which is drawn in via radial ports. The assembly contains no moving parts, minimizing maintenance requirements.
Injector selection is based on required steam flow (kg/h) and inlet pressure. According to ADCA sizing tables, SI125 covers approximately 130–1,220 kg/h for 1–17 bar, while SI140 covers 395–3,200 kg/h in the same pressure range. For example, a 3,500 kg/h load at 8 bar requires three SI140 units, each rated at 1,625 kg/h.
Install the injector as low as possible in the tank, below the thermostat or control sensor level. Maintain minimum clearance from the tank wall depending on operating pressure: 300 mm (2–4 bar), 500 mm (4–8 bar), 800 mm (8–10 bar), 1,000 mm (10–14 bar), and 1,300 mm (14–17 bar).
Install a vacuum breaker (VB21) between the injector and control valve. If the steam line is below liquid level, a check valve is recommended to prevent backflow into the steam line after shutdown.
Suitable for water tanks, wash baths, process vessels, and applications where direct steam-to-liquid contact is acceptable. Not a control valve—no actuator or leakage class. Flow regulation is achieved via upstream steam valve.
