ARI-SAFE-TCS Safety Valve PN100
The ARI-SAFE-TCS is a direct-acting, spring-loaded, threaded safety valve designed for the protection of small pipelines and pressure equipment. The series includes types 951, 952, and 953, suitable for steam, air, and water applications. Horizontal installation is permitted up to 5 bar set pressure if specified at order.
Technical Specifications
- DN: 15–25
- Nominal Pressure: PN100
- Thread: DIN ISO 228 Part 1 / BSP
- Body Materials: 1.4581 or combination 1.4581 / EN-JS1049
- Temperature Range: -10°C to +300°C, or -60°C to +300°C for stainless steel version; up to +400°C upon application review
- Set Pressure: 0.5 to 100 barg
- Sealing: Graphite packing, FPM O-rings, metal disc 1.4571
- Approvals: EN ISO 4126-1, AD2000-A2, VdTÜV 100, TÜV SV 1041 D/G/F
Variants 951 / 952 / 953
- 951: Closed lever lifting device
- 952: Open lever lifting device
- 953: Gas-tight cap
Types 951 and 952 are available with lever. The valve operates without external actuator, relying on process pressure and spring force balance.
Selection Criteria
Sizing requires mass flow, temperature, set pressure, and backpressure. For gases, molecular weight and isentropic exponent are needed; for liquids, density and viscosity. Accumulated backpressure is typically limited to 10% of set pressure; superimposed backpressure is not permitted in standard configuration.
Installation and Maintenance
Discharge lines must be drained, free of loads on the valve, and designed to avoid hydraulic traps or deposits. For steam, condensate accumulation must be prevented. During commissioning, verify flow direction, pipeline cleanliness, and unobstructed discharge.
