ARI-SAFE-TCP Safety Valve PN100

The ARI-SAFE-TCP is a direct-acting, spring-loaded, threaded safety valve designed for overpressure protection of small pipelines, vessels, and auxiliary equipment. The series covers types 961, 962, and 963 in standard D/G/F configurations. No external actuator is required; valve actuation is achieved by process pressure acting against the spring force.

Technical Data

  • DN: 15–25
  • Nominal Pressure: PN100
  • Connection: BSP thread / DIN ISO 228 Part 1
  • Materials: Body 1.4581, with options in 1.4581 / EN-JS1049
  • Temperature Range: -10°C to +300°C or -60°C to +300°C (stainless steel); up to +400°C upon application review
  • Set Pressure: 0.2 to 100 barg
  • Seat/Disc: Metal disc 1.4571
  • Sealing: Graphite packing and FPM O-rings
  • Approvals: EN ISO 4126-1, AD2000-A2, VdTÜV 100, TÜV SV 1041

Variants 961 / 962 / 963

  • 961: Closed lever manual lift arrangement
  • 962: Open lever manual lift arrangement
  • 963: Gas-tight cap

Manual test lever available for 961 and 962. Type 963 is selected where emission control from the cap is required.

Media and Applications

Suitable for steam, air, and water. Sizing per EN ISO 4126-1, TRD 421, and AD2000-A2. Typical applications: air receivers, small steam traps, skid packages, auxiliary process lines, laboratory or pilot high-pressure units.

Selection Criteria

For gases: mass flow, molecular weight, isentropic exponent, temperature, set pressure, and backpressure are required. For liquids: flow rate, density, viscosity, temperature, set pressure, and backpressure. Accumulated backpressure is typically limited to 10% of set pressure.

Installation and Maintenance

Install vertically. Inlet pressure loss must not exceed 3%. Discharge line must have adequate cross-section, slope, and drainage. Contaminants, weld residues, or particles on the seat may cause leakage after operation.
