Genebre 2258 Pressure Relief Valve

The Genebre 2258 is an angle-type stainless steel pressure relief valve with threaded inlet and outlet. Designed for overpressure protection in water, air, and saturated steam lines. Discharge capacities are specified per orifice size in the technical datasheet.

Selection and Sizing

2258 is selected where a stainless threaded relief valve with PTFE soft seat is required. The datasheet provides flow curves for water at 20°C with 25% overpressure and for air and saturated steam at 10% overpressure.

Selection Considerations

Difference from 2256 / 2257?
Yes. 2258 is fully threaded. 2256 / 2257 are used where flanged inlet is required.

Is an actuator required?
No. Operates mechanically via spring and process pressure.

Is this a control valve?
No. This is a pressure relief valve, not for continuous flow regulation.

Description

BSP threaded ends acc./ ISO 228/1 M-F, available with NPT threaded (2258N). Construction: Stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). PTFE sealing. Set pressure between 0,5 barg and 25 barg. Max. working pressure 25 bar. Working temperature -20ºC +200ºC.
