Genebre 2257 Safety Valve with Flanged Inlet and Lever

The Genebre 2257 is a stainless steel spring-loaded safety valve designed for gas and steam service. Inlet connection is flanged PN16/40 per EN 1092-1; outlet is threaded BSP Gas per ISO 228/1. The lever allows manual lift for periodic functional testing.

Standards and Sizing

Design, calculation, and testing per EN 12516 and EN ISO 4126-1/7. Sizing tables are provided for air at 20°C and saturated steam, with 10% overpressure.

Applications

Suitable for steam headers, pressure vessels, process gas lines, and skids requiring flanged inlet and manual test capability. Not intended for bypass regulation; selected for overpressure relief at the set pressure.

Selection Criteria

Selection requires set pressure, required relief capacity, medium, temperature, DN, permissible backpressure, and manual test requirement. For temperatures above 250°C, verify spring material compatibility.

FAQ

Is an actuator required?
No. Operation is by process pressure and spring force. The lever is for manual lift only.

Is it suitable for water?
The datasheet specifies gas or steam. For liquids, application review is required.

Description

Flanged end PN16/40 (inlet) acc. to EN 1092-1 and threaded end BSP acc. to ISO 228/1 (outlet). Design, calculations and control according to EN 12516 and EN 4126-1/7. Construction: Stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). Seat and disc in stainless steel.

AISI 316. Set pressure between 0,5 barg and 40 barg. Max. working pressure 40 bar. Working temperature -20ºC +300ºC. Lever for manual opening, open cap.
