Genebre 2253N Safety Valve NPT with Lever

The Genebre 2253N is a stainless steel, angle-type spring-loaded safety valve with NPT threads per ASME B1.20.1 and a manual lift lever. Designed for gas or steam service, it enables local overpressure relief and periodic functional testing without disassembly.

Standards and Sizing

Design, calculation, and testing comply with EN 12516 and EN ISO 4126-1/7. Sizing data is provided for air at 20°C and saturated steam, based on 10% overpressure.

Difference from 2252N

The 2252N is a closed version without lever. The 2253N features an open bonnet and 360° lever for manual lift testing. The lever is not a process actuator; normal operation is pressure-actuated via the spring mechanism.

Selection Considerations

Specify set pressure, medium, temperature, required relief capacity, orifice, backpressure, and inlet/outlet connections. For temperatures above 250°C, verify spring material compatibility. Discharge lines must be drained and free from mechanical loads on the valve.

Description

NPT threaded. Design, calculations and control according to EN 12516 and EN 4126-1/7. Construction: Stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). Seat and disc in stainless steel AISI 316. Set pressure between 0,5 barg and 40 barg. Max. working pressure 40 bar. Working temperature -20ºC +300ºC. Lever for manual opening, open cap.
