Genebre 2258N Pressure Relief Valve NPT

The Genebre 2258N is a stainless steel angle-type pressure relief valve with NPT threads per ASME B1.20.1. Designed for localized overpressure relief in water, air, and saturated steam systems, it features a PTFE soft seat on the disc for tight shutoff.

Difference from Genebre 2258

The 2258 is the BSP-threaded variant. The 2258N is specified where piping, skids, or equipment require NPT connections per ASME B1.20.1. Functional design, materials, and set pressure limits are otherwise equivalent.

Applications

Suitable for auxiliary water networks, compressed air, small saturated steam lines, and stainless industrial skids. Valve selection should consider set pressure, discharge capacity, medium, temperature, backpressure, and orifice diameter.

Maintenance

PTFE seating requires clean media. Particulates, salts, or condensate may affect resealing after relief. Discharge lines must be drained and free from mechanical loads on the valve body.

Description

NPT threaded ends acc./ ISO 228/1 M-F, available with NPT threaded (2258N). Construction: Stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). PTFE sealing. Set pressure between 0,5 barg and 25 barg. Max. working pressure 25 bar. Working temperature -20ºC +200ºC.
