Gefran TPFAS – Pressure Transmitter with Flush Diaphragm
The Gefran TPFAS is a pressure transmitter featuring a flush diaphragm constructed from 17-4PH stainless steel. It is designed for high-viscosity fluids, oils, rubber, slurries, chemical products, and applications where conventional transmitters with internal measuring chambers may clog or create dead volume.
Technical Data
- Measuring ranges: 0…25 to 0…600 bar
- Accuracy: ±0.5% FS
- Overpressure: 3x FS
- Burst pressure: 4x FS, up to 2000 bar
- Response time: < 1 ms
- Process temperature: -40…+120 °C
- Temperature compensation: -10…+85 °C
- Ingress protection: IP65 / IP66 / IP67 (depending on electrical connection)
- Wetted parts: 17-4PH stainless steel
Signal Outputs
TPFAS provides amplified analog outputs: 4…20 mA, 0…10 Vdc, 0…5 Vdc, 1…5 Vdc, 1…6 Vdc, 1…10 Vdc, 0.1…5.1 Vdc, and 0.1…10.1 Vdc. The 4…20 mA output is preferred for field wiring to PLCs. Voltage outputs are used for short distances or controllers with compatible analog inputs.
Process Connections
Available connections: G 1/4 B front seal, G 1/4 E, and M10x1 E. Selection depends on installation point, available depth, sealing method, and the need to avoid material entrapment in front of the diaphragm.
Autozero Function
Autozero can be magnetic or external via CAL pin. Used after installation or mechanical stress, it allows zero correction without opening the device. Zero correction range is ±10% FS.
Applications
- Dosing and mixing pumps
- Concrete pumps
- Lines with pastes, resins, sludges, or viscous oils
- Machinery requiring a small flush diaphragm
Standards and Certifications
Compliance: RoHS 2011/65/EU, EMC 2014/30/EU, EN 50581:2012, EN 61326-1:2013, EN 61326-2-3:2013.
FAQ
When is TPFAS selected over TPF?
When a smaller flush diaphragm and amplified analog output to PLC are required.
Does it have an actuator?
No. It is a pressure measuring instrument; control is performed by PLC, controller, or automation system.
