Gefran TPF – Pressure Sensor with Flush Diaphragm
The Gefran TPF is a pressure sensor equipped with a flush 17-4PH diaphragm and a non-amplified mV/V output. It utilizes bonded strain gauge technology on stainless steel, designed for high-viscosity fluids or media with deposits, where conventional transmitters with internal measuring chambers may clog or exhibit delayed response.
Technical Data
- Measuring ranges: 0…10 to 0…1000 bar
- Accuracy: H ±0.2% FS typical, M ±0.5% FS typical

- Protection: IP65 / IP66 / IP67, depending on connector
- Wetted parts: 17-4PH stainless steel
Media and Applications
Suitable for viscous oils, pastes, rubber, slurries, resins, chemicals, and dosing pumps. The flush diaphragm minimizes dead volume and material accumulation points. Not classified as a sanitary device without process connection, cleaning, and material compatibility verification.
Electrical Output and Selection
The mV/V output requires a strain gauge bridge input or external signal conditioner. For direct PLC connection with 4…20 mA or 0…10 V, use the TPFADA version. For a smaller diaphragm and amplified outputs, consider TPFAS.
Connections and Sealing
Standard process connections: M18x1.5 and G 1/2” male; 3/4-16 UNF on request. Installation must avoid mechanical loading on the diaphragm and ensure full media contact without material entrapment.
Installation
Grounding via machine body is required. Use shielded cable and separate power and signal wiring. Shield connects at the connector side only, left open at the PLC side per installation guidelines.
Standards / Declarations
Product page provides EU and UK Conformity Declarations for the TPF series. No actuator options; this is a measurement sensor, not a control element.
