Berluto DRV 772 / DRV 778 Stainless Steel Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 772 and DRV 778 are direct-acting pressure reducers featuring a diaphragm, adjustment spring, single seat, and inlet pressure compensation. The downstream pressure acts on the diaphragm to adjust the position of the internal cartridge without external energy or impulse line. Suitable for aggressive water, aggressive liquids, air, and neutral gases.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 40 bar.
  • DRV 772: outlet pressure 0.5–4 bar.
  • DRV 778: outlet pressure 0.5–9 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9–13 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Operating temperature up to 190°C, depending on elastomer.

Materials and Sealing

The body and spring cap are made of stainless steel 1.4408. Wetted internal parts are stainless steel 1.4404. Seals available in NBR up to 100°C, EPDM up to 130°C, and FKM up to 190°C. EPDM version complies with FDA and EC 1935/2004 for secondary food applications.

Difference Between DRV 772 and DRV 778

DRV 772 is selected for lower downstream settings, 0.5–4 bar. DRV 778 covers a broader range, 0.5–9 bar. Selection is based on p1, p2, flow rate, DN, Kvs, temperature, and elastomer chemical compatibility.

Installation

The valve features an integrated filter, replaceable internal parts, and dual gauge connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication. Installation can be in any position, with a preference for vertical orientation.

Description

DRV 772 / 778

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves and have inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows easy replacement of the internal parts.

Nominal size DN 15 up to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 40 bar

Outlet pressure from 0.5 up to 9 bar

Temperature range -30 °C to 190 °C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
