Pressure Reducers Stainless Steel - DRV 7-Series - DRV 724/725 | Berluto

Berluto DRV 724 / DRV 725 Stainless Steel High Output Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 724 and DRV 725 are direct-acting, piston-operated, spring-loaded, single-seat pressure reducers with inlet pressure compensation. Downstream pressure is mechanically regulated without external energy or impulse line. The cartridge design allows for replacement of internal components during maintenance.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 40 bar.
  • DRV 724: outlet pressure 1.5–12 bar.
  • DRV 725: outlet pressure 2.0–20 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9–13 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +190°C, depending on elastomer.

Materials and Seals

The body and spring cap are made of stainless steel 1.4408. Wetted internal parts are stainless steel 1.4404. Seals are available in NBR up to 100°C, FKM up to 190°C, and EPDM up to 130°C for DN40–DN50 only.

Suitable Media

The series is used in aggressive water and other aggressive liquids. It can also be applied to air and neutral gases when the required flow is covered by the available Kvs.

Difference Between DRV 724 and DRV 725

DRV 724 is selected for downstream pressure 1.5–12 bar. DRV 725 covers a higher set point, 2–20 bar. Selection requires p1, p2, flow rate, DN, Kvs, temperature, medium, and elastomer compatibility.

Installation

The valve features an integrated filter and dual gauge connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication. Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. The technical datasheet references PED 2014/68/EU and classification approvals DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
