Berluto DRV 703 / 773 Stainless Steel Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 703 and DRV 773 are direct-acting pressure reducers featuring a diaphragm, adjustment spring, and inlet pressure compensation. The downstream pressure acts on the diaphragm, altering the position of the single seat without external energy or pulse line. This series is designed for small DN in stainless steel construction.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN32.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 1 1/4” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 16 bar.
  • DRV 703: outlet pressure 1.5–6 bar.
  • DRV 773: outlet pressure 0.5–4 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9 / 3.9 / 5.4 / 6.1 m³/h.
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +75°C.

Materials and Seals

The body is made of stainless steel 1.4408. Wetted internal parts are plastic and stainless steel 1.4404. Seals are EPDM with ELL and W270 approvals, suitable for potable water applications.

Suitable Media

The series is used in aggressive waters and other aggressive fluids. It can also be applied to air and neutral gases when the required flow is covered by the available Kvs.

Difference Between DRV 703 and DRV 773

The DRV 703 is selected for downstream pressure regulation of 1.5–6 bar. The DRV 773 covers a lower regulation range of 0.5–4 bar. Selection should be based on p1, p2, flow rate, DN, Kvs, temperature, and material compatibility with the fluid.

Installation and Maintenance

The valve features an integrated filter, replaceable internal parts, and dual manometer connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication. Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. The technical datasheet references PED 2014/68/EU and classification societies DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
