Berluto DRV 702 / 708 Stainless Steel Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 702 and DRV 708 are direct-acting pressure reducers, controlled via diaphragm, with a regulating spring, single seat, and inlet pressure compensation. Downstream pressure adjustment is mechanical, requiring no external energy or impulse line. The series is stainless steel, designed for corrosive waters, aggressive liquids, and for air or neutral gases when higher flow rates are needed.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 40 bar.
  • DRV 702: outlet pressure 1.5–6 bar.
  • DRV 708: outlet pressure 1.5–10 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9 / 3.9 / 5.4 / 6.1 / 9 / 13 m³/h.
  • Temperature range: -30 to +190°C, depending on elastomer.

Materials and Seals

The body and spring cap are made from stainless steel 1.4408. Wetted internal parts are stainless steel 1.4404. Seals available in NBR up to 100°C, EPDM up to 130°C, and FKM up to 190°C. The EPDM version complies with FDA and EC 1935/2004 for secondary food applications.

Difference Between DRV 702 and DRV 708

The DRV 702 covers a typical outlet setting of 1.5–6 bar. The DRV 708 is selected when the required downstream pressure is up to 10 bar. Size selection should be based on p1, p2, flow rate, Kvs, medium, temperature, and elastomer compatibility.

Installation and Maintenance

The valve features an integrated filter, replaceable internal parts, and dual gauge connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication. Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. The technical datasheet references PED 2014/68/EU and classification societies DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
