Berluto DRV 450 Low Output Pressure Reducer

The Berluto DRV 450 is a direct-acting pressure reducer, membrane-controlled, featuring a regulating spring and inlet pressure compensation. Its operation relies on the balance between downstream pressure and spring preload, without auxiliary energy or impulse line. The cartridge design allows for replacement of internal parts during maintenance.

Technical Data

  • DN15–DN65.
  • Connection: male thread R 1/2” to R 2 1/2” per ISO 7.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 16 bar.
  • Output pressure setting p2: 0.2–2 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9–17 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +190°C, depending on sealing material and version.

Materials and Seals

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. In the basic version, wetted parts are Hostaform C/POM and brass up to DN32, while from DN40 they are brass. Seals are available in NBR, EPDM, or FKM. The basic version with NBR is limited to +100°C, while the HT version with FKM and metallic internal parts reaches up to +190°C for DN15–DN32. Not intended for steam.

Suitable Media

The series is used in water and neutral, non-sticky liquids. It can also be applied to air and neutral gases when the required flow is greater. For potable water, the specific DRV-6 series should be considered.

Installation and Selection

The valve features an integrated filter, replaceable internal parts, and dual G 1/4” manometer connections for output pressure indication. Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. Sizing requires p1, p2, flow rate, DN, Kvs, medium, temperature, elastomer, and thread type.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
