Berluto DRV 302-6 / DRV 303-6 Pressure Reducers for Potable Water

The Berluto DRV 302-6 and DRV 303-6 are direct-acting pressure reducers with diaphragm control, adjustment spring, and inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows for internal part replacement without changing the entire body. They are intended for potable water circuits.

Technical Data

  • DRV 303-6: DN15–DN32.
  • DRV 302-6: DN40–DN50.
  • Connection: internal thread ISO 228, G 1/2” to G 2”.
  • Max inlet pressure p1: 16 bar.
  • Outlet pressure setting p2: 1.5–6 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +75°C.
  • Kvs: 2.9 / 3.9 / 5.4 / 6.1 / 9 / 13 m³/h per DN.

Materials and Construction

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. For DN15–DN32, the spring cap is PA6, while for DN40–DN50, it is cast iron. Wetted parts are Hostaform C and brass up to DN32, and brass for larger sizes. Diaphragms and seals are EPDM with ELL and W270 approvals for potable water use.

Functional Use

The series is applied in building and industrial potable water networks where pressure stabilization is required before consumption points, distributors, thermal subsystems, or lower pressure zones. The integrated filter retains particles before the seat but does not replace a central network protection filter.

Installation and Control

Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. There is a dual G 1/4” gauge connection for downstream pressure indication. Selection requires p1, desired p2, peak flow, DN, Kvs, temperature, and available differential pressure.

Standards and Certifications

The technical datasheet references DGRL/PED 2014/68/EU, material compliance with European potable water legislation, ELL/W270 elastomers, and available DVGW and ISO 9001 certifications.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
