Pressure Reducers Red-Bronze - DRV 3-Series - DRV 302/303/308 | Berluto

Berluto DRV 302 / 303 / 308 Direct Acting Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 302 / 303 / 308 series are diaphragm-operated pressure reducers with a regulating spring and inlet pressure compensation. Suitable for water and neutral, non-sticky liquids, they can also be used with air or neutral gases when higher flow rates are required. For potable or seawater, consider the DRV-6 or DRV-SW series.

Technical Data

  • DN15–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure up to 40 bar, depending on type and DN.
  • Outlet pressure: 1.5–6 bar for DRV 302/303 and 1.5–10 bar for DRV 308.
  • Kvs: 2.9–13 m³/h.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Operating temperature up to 190°C, depending on elastomer and version.

Type Differences

DRV 302 covers DN15–DN50, with p1 up to 40 bar for DN15–DN32 and up to 25 bar for DN40–DN50. DRV 303 covers DN15–DN32, with p1 up to 16 bar and a plastic cap, thus limiting temperature to 75°C. DRV 308 is used when an outlet adjustment up to 10 bar is required.

Materials and Seals

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. Wetted parts are Hostaform C/POM and brass up to DN32, and brass from DN40. Seals are available in NBR, EPDM, or FKM. The HT version, available for DRV 302/308, uses FKM and metallic internal parts for temperatures up to 190°C, but is not intended for steam.

Installation and Maintenance

The valve features an integrated filter, replaceable cartridge-type internal parts, and dual manometer connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure. Installation can be in any position, with a preference for vertical. Selection requires p1, p2, flow rate, DN, medium, temperature, Kvs, and sealing material.

Description

DRV 302 / 303 / 308

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves and have inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows easy replacement of the internal parts.

Nominal size DN 15 to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 40 bar

Outlet pressure from 1.5 up to 10 bar

Temperature range -30 °C to 190 °C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
