Berluto DRV 324 / DRV 325 High-Pressure Reducing Valves

The Berluto DRV 324 / 325 are direct-acting pressure reducing valves, piston-controlled, featuring a regulating spring and inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows for internal component replacement without body removal. Suitable for water and neutral, non-sticky fluids; also applicable for air and neutral gases when higher flow rates are required. Special versions DRV-6 or DRV-SW are available for potable or seawater.

Technical Data

  • DN15–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/2” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Max inlet pressure: 40 bar for DN15–DN32, 25 bar for DN40–DN50.
  • DRV 324: outlet pressure 1.5–12 bar.
  • DRV 325: outlet pressure 2.0–20 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9–13 m³/h.
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +190°C, depending on sealing and version.

Materials and Seals

Body made of red bronze CC499K. Standard version uses NBR seals, rated up to +100°C. FPM available up to +190°C and EPDM up to +130°C for DN40–DN50 only. HT version employs FPM and metallic internals for higher temperatures, not suitable for steam.

Difference Between DRV 324 and DRV 325

DRV 324 is selected for downstream pressure range of 1.5–12 bar. DRV 325 covers a higher set point, 2.0–20 bar. Selection is based on p1, p2, flow rate, Kvs, temperature, medium, and available differential pressure.

Installation and Applications

Valve includes integrated filter and dual gauge connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication. Installation position can be any, preferably vertical. Typical uses: industrial water, neutral process fluids, compressed air, neutral gases, and auxiliary machine networks. Technical datasheet references DGRL/PED 2014/68/EU and classification societies DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
