The Valvosider DIN 90° is an angle-type piston check valve designed for installation in piping systems where a 90° change in flow direction is required, combined with backflow prevention. Operation is achieved via differential pressure and a return spring; no actuator or external control signal is required.
Standard design is full opening with bolted cover, lapped disc/seat, and replaceable seat. Body materials: 1.0619 (carbon steel) or 1.4408 (stainless steel). Seat surfaces: X20Cr13 or X5CrNiMo17-12-2, with optional overlays (Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy) for corrosion or wear resistance.
Standard connection: flanged to EN 1092. Optional: BW ends, RTJ flanges, ANSI connections. Packing: stainless steel reinforced graphite, with PTFE or other materials available. For enhanced seat tightness, disc with PTFE or elastomer is available.
Design: EN 12516. Face-to-face: EN 558 / EN 1298L. Flanges/rating: EN 1092. Marking: EN 19. Testing: EN 12267. Certification: EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2. CE / PED compliant.
Suitable for steam, condensate, process water, thermal fluids, hydrocarbons, and compatible gases. Material selection based on temperature, pressure, and chemical compatibility. The angle pattern eliminates the need for separate direction-change fittings in compact piping layouts.
When is the angle pattern selected? When a 90° piping change coincides with the need for check valve function.
Is an actuator required? No, operation is automatic via flow and spring force.
