Manual flanged needle valve for gradual flow regulation in clean liquid or gas lines. Model 658050 features rotating flanges according to UNI EN 1092-1:2003, AISI 316L / 1.4404 body, and polished exterior. Available from DN10 to DN25.

Application Scope

Used in auxiliary process lines requiring manual throttling rather than simple on/off isolation. Typical applications:

• low-flow bypass
• sampling of clean media
• dosing of auxiliary liquids
• process skids with flanged connections PN 40
• water circuits, instrument air, nitrogen, or compatible clean fluids

Not suitable for slurries, liquids with suspended solids, or high-viscosity media due to the narrow flow path of the needle geometry.

Differences from Threaded and Clamp Versions

The flanged version is chosen when piping is pre-specified with UNI EN 1092-1 and alignment via flanges is required, avoiding threaded process connections. Compared to Clamp versions, installation is more suited for industrial networks PN 40 but requires proper gasket selection, tightening torques, and leakage checks at the flanged joint.

Upon request, available with ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db antistatic device and M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance for food contact applications.

FAQ

Can it be used as a control valve?
Only for manual fine adjustment. Continuous automatic control requires a valve with an actuator and control characteristic curve.

What is checked before selection?
DN, PN 40, temperature, 316L/FKM/PTFE compatibility, flange gasket type, and media cleanliness.
