OMC RE01 – Linear Electro-Pneumatic Positioner

The OMC RE01 is an analog electro-pneumatic positioner designed for linear control valves. It accepts a 4–20 mA input signal, compares the control signal with mechanical position feedback, and modulates pneumatic pressure to the actuator to ensure valve stroke follows the controller setpoint. The positioner compensates for differential pressure changes, stem friction, and actuator diaphragm hysteresis, maintaining accurate valve positioning in process control loops.

Adjustment Functions

RE01 provides independent zero/span adjustment, split-range capability, action reversal, and valve speed control. Air supply is adjustable from 1 to 34 Nm³/h depending on supply pressure, critical for large actuator response times.

Description

Single & double-acting positioners RE01 require an input signal of 4÷20 mA for proportional control actuator. The Positioner compares the output signal from a controller with the position feedback, and varies a pneumatic output signal to the actuator accordingly. The actuator position is therefore guaranteed for any controller output signal and the effects of varying differential pressure.
