OMC YT3400L – Smart Positioner for Linear Actuators

The OMC YT3400L is a digital electro-pneumatic positioner designed for linear control valves with single-acting pneumatic actuators. It accepts a 4–20 mA DC control signal from PLC, DCS, or standalone controllers and modulates supply air to the actuator to align valve stroke with the setpoint. The product is classified as flameproof type with protection II 2 G D Ex d IIC T5–T6 per ATEX 2014/34/EU.

Control Functions

YT3400L supports auto calibration, PID tuning, alarms, HART communication, linear / quick open / equal percentage characteristics, and custom 16-point curve. Additional features include tight shut-close / shut-open, split range 4–12 mA or 12–20 mA, A/M switch, and variable orifice for minimizing hunting in small-volume actuators.

Applications

Used on control valves for steam, condensate, hot water, chilled water, instrument air, and process utility lines. Typical installations include heat exchangers, bypass lines, manifolds, and flow, pressure, or temperature control loops.
