OMC PTL7L – Limit Switch and Position Feedback Box for Linear Valves

OMC PTL7L is a position monitoring unit for linear pneumatic actuators. It is not a positioner with pneumatic output; it is used for end position indication or continuous 4–20 mA feedback to PLC, DCS, or automation panels. Mounting is via bracket according to IEC 534 / IEC 60534 standards.

Variants

• PTL7 PM2L: Two pneumatic NC limit switches, supply 0–8 bar, 4x2 mm tube connection, IP65 enclosure, temperature range -20 to +60 °C.
• PTL7 EM3L: Two electromechanical SPDT switches, 4–30 V operation, rated up to 16 A at 250 V AC, PG9 cable entry, IP65, -25 to +105 °C.
• PTL7 TN0L: 4–20 mA position transmitter, 24 V DC supply, consumption <0.65 W, PG9 entry, IP65, -20 to +70 °C.
• PTL7 I20L: Two NAMUR inductive sensors per EN 60947-5-6, 8.2 V supply, switching frequency 1000 Hz.
• PTL7 I30L: Two 3-wire PNP inductive sensors, 10–30 V DC, switching frequency 1000 Hz.

Applications

PTL7L is selected for steam, cooling water, hot water, condensate, and auxiliary process valves where independent position confirmation is required. Used for pump interlocks, permissive signals, open/closed alarms, and analog valve travel monitoring.

Adjustment and Maintenance

Limit switches are mechanically set via cams after actuator installation. For TN0L variant, calibration is performed with 4 mA at 0% stroke and 20 mA at 100% stroke, with fine adjustment via dedicated screws.
