The Valvosider Round Body DIN is a metal-seated gate valve designed for flow isolation in higher pressure lines according to DIN/EN standards. It covers PN16 to PN160 and is distinct from the oval PN16 version due to its higher pressure classes and different face-to-face dimensions per PN. Not suitable for throttling service.
The construction features a bolted bonnet, outside screw & yoke, rising stem, non-rising handwheel, and flexible wedge. Design is based on EN 12516, with testing to EN 12266, marking to EN 19, CE/PED compliance, and certification to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2. Flanges conform to EN 1092, with BW ends available per EN 12627.
Available body/bonnet materials: 1.0619, 1.7365, 1.4552, 1.4408. Seat and wedge surfaces available in X20Cr13, X20Cr13 + hard facing, X6CrNiTi18-10, or X5CrNiMo17-12-2. Packing is graphite with wiper rings, and gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite.
Available with ISO 5210 top flange, gear reducer, chain wheel, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuator, limit switches, position indicator, locking/interlock, stem extension, live-loaded packing, drain plug, and by-pass. Gear reducer recommended from DN500/PN16, DN400/PN25, DN300/PN40, DN200 for PN63–PN100, and DN150/PN160.
When to choose round type?
When the line requires PN25–PN160 or face-to-face F7/F8.
Suitable for steam?
Yes, provided the correct body material, trim, gasket, and pressure-temperature rating are selected.
Bolted bonnet or bellows seal?
Bolted bonnet when graphite packing suffices. Bellows seal when stricter stem leakage control is required.
