Genebre Float Valve Type 2856N
The Genebre 2856N is a mechanical float valve constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel, designed for level control in water storage tanks. The 2856N variant differs from the standard 2856 by its connection type: it utilizes NPT threads in accordance with ASME B1.20.1, rather than ISO 228. Operation is entirely mechanical via float and lever arm, with no electrical sensor or actuator integration.

Flow Rate and Sizing
Flow rates are provided in l/h for 1–10 bar inlet pressure. For reference, the 2856N 04 1/2" delivers 2,829–8,938 l/h, while the 2856N 10 2 1/2" delivers 24,869–79,275 l/h. Valve sizing should be based on available pressure, required fill rate, and float movement clearance.
Suitable Media and Applications
Primarily used in clean or potable water tanks. For process water or chemically affected liquids, compatibility with AISI 316 and silicone must be verified.
