Genebre 2834 Axial Expansion Joints

The Genebre 2834 are metallic axial expansion compensators with welded ends, constructed from AISI 304 / 1.4301 stainless steel and equipped with an internal flow liner. Designed for axial thermal movement in straight pipe sections and for limiting mechanical vibrations.

Construction

• Welded ends: stainless steel 304
• Corrugated bellows: 1.4301 (AISI 304)
• Internal flow liner: 1.4301
• Unidirectional flow, indicated by arrow
• Sizes: DN40–DN200 (1½”–8”)

The internal liner reduces pressure loss and minimizes product accumulation in the bellows. Installation must follow the indicated flow direction.

Operating Limits

Nominal pressure PN10, maximum working pressure 10 bar, and maximum temperature 300 °C. Pressure–temperature curve shows derating above ~100 °C; selection should not rely solely on PN rating.

Axial movement depends on duty cycles. For up to 10,000 cycles: ±6 mm at DN40 to ±29 mm at DN200. Axial stiffness: 83–400 N/mm.

Applications

Suitable for hot water, low-pressure steam, high-temperature HVAC, auxiliary industrial circuits, and compatible liquids or gases with AISI 304. Chemical compatibility and chloride content must be verified for corrosive media.

Selection & Installation

Selection requires DN, pressure, temperature, axial travel, cycle count, Kv, flow direction, pipe anchors, and guides. Kv values: 63–4630 m³/h at 1 bar pressure drop.

No actuator or flange gasket supplied. Sealing depends on weld quality and inspection. Certifications: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, CE. Final documentation should be requested per order.
