Axial Expansion Joints Genebre 2835E

Genebre 2835E are metallic axial expansion compensators with flanged ends EN 1092 PN16 and internal flow liner. Designed for axial compensation of thermal pipe movements and for vibration attenuation in water, hot fluid, or compatible gas networks.

Construction

• Sizes: DN25–DN200, 1"–8"
• Pressure class: PN16
• Bellows and internal liner: stainless 1.4301 / AISI 304
• Flanges and pipe ends: carbon steel with heat-resistant coating
• Tie rods: provided for 2" and above
• Single flow direction; install per body arrow

Operating Limits

Maximum working pressure: 16 bar. Temperature range: -40 °C to +300 °C. Pressure–temperature curve indicates pressure derating at elevated temperatures; selection should not rely solely on PN16 rating.

Axial Movement

Permissible stroke depends on operating cycles:

• Up to 10,000 cycles: from ±5 mm (DN25–DN40) to ±12 mm (DN200)
• Up to 1,000 cycles: from ±11 mm to ±26 mm
• Axial stiffness: 28–76 kgf/mm
• Effective area: 16.3–366.4 cm²

Applications & Selection

Typical uses: boiler rooms, high-temperature HVAC, hot water networks, auxiliary industrial circuits, and metallic piping with flanged connections.

Selection criteria: DN, temperature, pressure, axial movement, cycle count, flow direction, anchoring, pipe guides, and media compatibility with AISI 304. Kv values: 70 to 6012 m³/h at 1 bar pressure drop.

Is an actuator required?
No. Operates passively via pipe movement.

What is checked during maintenance?
Flange tightness, tie rod condition, bellows fatigue, correct pipe guiding, and possible deposit accumulation in the internal liner.
