Bottom Tank Ball Valve 4G Ghidini 153030

Full bore two-way ball valve designed for tank bottom drainage or isolation. The tank side features a fixed flange per UNI EN 1092, while the outlet is a clamp connection per DIN 32676 Tab.4 Reihe C, suitable for process lines requiring frequent disassembly for cleaning, inspection, or batch changeover.

Technical Data

  • Body, ball, and stem material: AISI 316L / 1.4404

  • Available sizes: DN40–DN120 (code table up to clamp 6" / DN125)
  • Seats: modified virgin PTFE
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +170°C
  • Alternative seat: PTFE with stainless steel, -20°C to +200°C
  • External finish: polished
  • Actuator interface: ISO 5211 / DIN 3337
  • ATEX antistatic design: II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb and II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db

Clamp Outlet Selection Criteria

Clamp connections are specified when the valve outlet interfaces with removable flexible or rigid process lines. Compared to ISO 228 threaded connections, clamp reduces disconnection time and facilitates visual inspection of contact surfaces. Compared to DIN 11851, clamp is preferred in sanitary networks where clamp fittings are favored over union nuts.

Media and Applications

Compatible with process water, foodstuffs, beverages, mild chemicals, and products suitable for AISI 316L and PTFE. Typical use cases: mixing tanks, storage vessels, CIP lines, liquid food units, cosmetics, and low-to-medium hazard chemical production.

Sealing and Maintenance

Primary seats and seals are PTFE. Stem and counterflange O-rings are FKM, with EPDM available on request. Selection depends on temperature, CIP chemistry, and product compatibility.

Heated Jacket Variant

Variant 153030E is used where thermal maintenance at the discharge area is required, e.g., for viscous, fatty, or solidifying products.
