Adler FA8 Spherical Tank Bottom Valve

The Adler FA8 is a wafer-type full bore ball valve designed for direct installation at tank bottoms, featuring an enlarged tank flange. Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 12516-2, ANSI B16.34, and ISO 14313, it is configured for draining process or storage vessels. The design supports process isolation and controlled discharge in industrial environments.

Operational Use

Wafer design reduces installation length compared to traditional flanged valves and mounts directly at the tank outlet. The 15° inclined stem improves accessibility for manual or automated operation beneath the tank. Suitable for process water, chemicals compatible with 316L/PTFE, storage products, and drain lines requiring low pressure drop.

Execution Options

Available in fire-safe versions per ISO 10497, API 607 / BS6755, cryogenic execution per ISO 28921, PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, ISO 15848 fugitive emission class A, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves. Oxygen service degreasing per ISO 23208 and certified PTFE (BAM, FDA, MOCA) available on request.

Automation

ISO 5211 interface supports pneumatic (double/single acting), electric actuators, manual gearboxes, and pneumatic/electropneumatic positioners. For automated service, verify torque, cycle frequency, temperature, and stem leakage parameters.
