Genebre 2052 Tank Bottom Ball Valve
Three-piece, full bore ball valve designed for tank bottom drainage or isolation. The tank side features a special AISI 316L bottom flange, while the outlet is threaded per ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1. Body and ball are stainless steel CF8M / 1.4408, suitable for process environments requiring corrosion resistance.

Applications
Used in storage or process tanks where low pressure drop during drainage is required. Compatible media include process water, oils, and mild chemicals, provided they are suitable for 316/316L stainless steel, glass-filled PTFE, and FPM. Media compatibility must be verified for each application, considering temperature and concentration.
Selection Compared to Other Variants
Type 2052 is selected when a threaded outlet is required. For welded outlet, refer to type 2053. The three-piece construction allows removal of the central body for maintenance without disconnecting end connections from the installation.
Installation and Operation Guidelines
The tank bottom flange must be welded with care to avoid distortion from overheating. Do not use the lever as a tightening tool on the threaded side; tightening should be performed on the hexagonal area with torque below 30 Nm.
Prolonged operation in intermediate positions is not recommended unless flow and pressure drop have been calculated, as seat life may be reduced. Media that solidify, crystallize, or polymerize should not remain in the ball cavity.
FAQ
Is pneumatic actuation possible?
Yes, via ISO 5211 interface. Pneumatic, electric, and electro-pneumatic actuator assemblies are available.
What maintenance is required?
Periodic cycling, inspection for stem, seat, and body leakage, and depressurization of the line before disassembly are recommended.

Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
