Valfonta C1 – Pneumatic Gas Control Valve

The Valfonta C1 is a globe-type, top-entry, single-seat pneumatic valve designed for analog control or on/off operation in gases, steam, and process liquids. It is utilized in flow or pressure control loops with a pneumatic multi-spring actuator for direct or reverse action.

Dimensions and Connection

The standard range covers DN15–DN100, while DN125–DN150 are available with balanced inlet pressure. Connections are flanged according to EN 1092-1, face form B1, with BSP/NPT, BW, or SW options upon configuration. DIN and ANSI versions are also available.

Materials and Pressure

Body materials include EN-GJS-400-18-LT / GGG40.3, RG10 bronze, 1.0619 carbon steel, and 1.4408 stainless steel. Nominal pressures are PN25–PN40 / Class 150–300, with a maximum inlet pressure up to 40 barg. Allowable pressure decreases with temperature according to EN12516-1 and EN1092-2.

Trim and Tightness

The plug can be equal percentage, linear, or ON/OFF. Standard construction is full port, with reduced port available for lower Kv requirements. Kv ranges from 0.1 to 260 m³/h, with a typical range up to 130 m³/h for DN100. Seat tightness is Class IV with metal-to-metal seat or Class VI with PTFE+GR seat.

Shaft Sealing and Actuator

Standard sealing is double V-rings packing. Options include PTFE+GR up to 200°C, PTFE V-rings up to 150°C, graphite rings up to 350°C, and bellow seal upon request. The actuator accepts instrument air up to 4 barg in catalog C1-19A, with sizes D205, D275, D360, and D430.

When is a balanced version required?
For DN125–DN150 or when differential pressure increases the force required by the actuator.

What data is needed for sizing?
Medium, flow rate, P1/P2, temperature, Kv/Cv, plug type, leakage class, fail action, and available instrument air pressure.
