Bellino SRVI – Self-Regulating Valve with Internal Tapping

The Bellino SRVI is a self-regulating pressure valve featuring internal pressure tapping. It functions as a pressure reducer for downstream pressure control or as a relief/back-pressure valve for upstream pressure management, without the need for an external positioner or control signal. The regulating energy is derived from the process fluid itself.

Construction and Limits

The SRVI is available as piston actuated or diaphragm actuated. The catalog specifies fluid temperatures up to 210°C, standard sizes up to 4", and standard ratings up to ANSI 600, with larger sizes or ratings available upon request.

Body materials include A216 WCB, A351 CF8/CF8M/CF3M, and special alloys like Inconel 625, Monel 400, and Hastelloy C-276, depending on media, corrosion, and temperature requirements.

SRVI vs. SRVE

  • SRVI: Internal tapping, no external impulse line. More compact installation, but pressure measurement point is directly connected to the valve.
  • SRVE: External tapping, suitable when pressure needs to be taken from a specific pipeline point.

Sealing and Standards

Permissible seat leakage must be specified in the datasheet. Bellino specifies classes IV, V, and VI per ANSI/FCI 70-2; Classes IV/V correspond to metal-to-metal seating, while Class VI requires a resilient seat.

Manufacturer-level applications include gas, steam, water, oil, and general liquids, with design according to ASME B16.34, API 6A, API 600, and ASME BPVC where applicable.

FAQ

When to Choose SRVI?
When local mechanical pressure adjustment is required without a controller and without external pressure tapping.

Selection Criteria: Media, flow rate, P1/P2, set pressure, temperature, Cv, leakage class, body/trim material, and function as reducer or relief.

Description

SRVI Valves plays a very important role in the automatic control of installations which depend on the distribution and the correct amount of liquids or gases flow control.
