Bellino GVCH – Globe Control Valve with Cage Trim

The Bellino GVCH is a globe-type control valve featuring a cage-guided trim, designed for flow, pressure, or level control in liquid and gas circuits. The cage trim philosophy is suitable when enhanced plug guidance and stable throttling service behavior are required compared to a simple contoured plug.

GVCH Configurations

  • S – Standard: basic cage trim execution.
  • B – Balanced: for higher differential pressure with reduced actuator thrust.
  • T – Threaded Seat: threaded seat.
  • Q – Quick Change Seat: quick replacement seat.
  • I – Soft Seat: for lower seat leakage.

Materials, Pressure, and Connections

The technical catalog lists bodies made of A216 WCB, A352 LCB, A217 WC6/WC9, and A351 CF8/CF8M, with trims from SS316, Stellite, 17-4PH, or A182 F6NM, depending on temperature, corrosion, and mechanical stress. Available ANSI classes are 150, 300, 600, and 900–2500, with face-to-face dimensions per ANSI/ISA 75.08.01.

Sealing and Leakage

Shaft sealing can be achieved with Teflon packing up to approximately 210°C or Grafoil/graphite packing up to approximately 560°C. For vacuum service, double packing is available. Seat leakage should be specified in the datasheet; Bellino mentions Classes IV, V, and VI per ANSI/FCI 70-2, with Class VI in resilient seating.

Actuation and Instruments

The GVCH is paired with a pneumatic actuator and positioner, either simple or smart I/P. Available auxiliary instruments include filter regulator, solenoid valve, lock-up valve, limit/proximity switches, and booster. Electric and electro-pneumatic actuators are available upon selection.
