Tassalini plug cocks are manually operated isolation and flow-diversion valves designed for sanitary and industrial low-pressure piping systems. Two-way versions are used for shut-off applications, while three-way versions enable flow path selection within process lines. The full bore design ensures unrestricted product passage, minimizing pressure drop and risk of clogging.

Construction and Materials

• Body and plug: AISI 304L or AISI 316L stainless steel, selected based on media compatibility and cleaning requirements.
• Seat ring: PTFE for chemical resistance and low friction.
• Seals: EPDM, W seal, and O-ring options for process compatibility.
• Plugs feature thick hard chrome plating for wear resistance.
• Conical seating geometry reduces specific rotational pressure, improving sealing and service life.
• Standard finish: 120 grit, Ra 1.01–1.14 μm max for hygienic applications.
