Genebre 2040N 3-Way Ball Valve, L-Port, NPT

The Genebre 2040N is a reduced bore, three-way ball valve with an L-port ball configuration for flow diversion via 90° rotation. The 2040N variant differs from the standard 2040 by utilizing NPT threads (ASME B1.20.1) instead of ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1. Not intended for mixing or continuous throttling applications.

Construction

• Body and end cap: Stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M
• Ball: Stainless steel 1.4408
• Stem: AISI 316, anti-blowout design
• Seats: 4 x PTFE + 15% glass fibre
• Stem sealing: PTFE and O-ring FKM / Viton
• Antistatic continuity between ball, stem, and body

Pressure, Temperature, and Dimensions

Maximum working pressure: 63 bar. Temperature range: -25°C to +180°C. Available sizes: 1/4” to 2 1/2”. ISO 5211 mounting flanges from F03/F04 to F07/F10 depending on size.

Reduced bore must be considered in hydraulic calculations. Kv values range from 11 m³/h (1/4”–3/8”) to 205 m³/h (2 1/2”).

Automation and Operation

Direct actuator mounting per ISO 5211. For pneumatic or electric actuators, verify required torque; operating torque for the 2040/2041 series is 8–55 Nm (refer to manual).

Applications

Suitable for process utility lines, water, compressed air, neutral liquids, test lines, and feed/return line selection. For chemical service, verify compatibility with CF8M, PTFE+GF, and FKM materials.

FAQ

Can the valve be left partially open?
Not recommended without monitoring pressure drop and flow, as seat life may be reduced.

When is the 2040N selected?
When the system or skid requires NPT threads instead of ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1.
