Genebre 2013 M-F full-bore ball valve

The Genebre 2013 is a two-piece stainless steel ball valve with full-bore flow passage and male-female Gas threads to ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1. The body material is CF8M / 316 stainless steel. Standard sealing uses PTFE + 15% glass fibre seats and a Viton stem O-ring. Rated pressure is PN63, with an operating temperature range of -25°C to +180°C, subject to pressure, medium and seal compatibility.

Sizes and operation

Available from 1/4" to 1". Operation is manual by lever, with locking provision. The full-bore design reduces pressure loss compared with reduced-bore valves, which is relevant on small process lines, instrument connections and auxiliary services.

Suitable media and limits

Selection shall be checked against the wetted materials: CF8M stainless steel, PTFE/GF seats and Viton elastomer. Confirm compatibility for chemicals, hydrocarbons, glycol mixtures, treated water and process fluids. Temperature and pressure must be evaluated together; PN63 does not imply full pressure capability at the upper temperature limit.

Connection and variant selection

The M-F threaded configuration allows direct installation between threaded components without an additional nipple. Compared with F-F valves, it can reduce joint count and potential leakage points. Compared with M-M valves, one side remains a female receiving connection, useful for compact assemblies and instrument take-offs.

Actuation and sealing notes

The standard configuration is manual lever operation. If remote operation is required, select a valve version with a suitable actuator interface or specify an actuated assembly. Standard sealing is PTFE/GF with Viton; alternative seat or elastomer materials require confirmation from the manufacturer or selection of a different valve variant.

FAQ

Is it suitable for steam? Only after checking pressure, temperature and seal compatibility; PTFE and Viton limits must be respected.

Is it a control valve? No. It is an on/off isolation valve, not intended for throttling service.

Where is it commonly used? Compact utility, drain, vent, bypass and instrumentation connections where stainless construction and low pressure drop are required.
